An 80g tin of red soft-resistance hand putty. Squeeze, pinch, stretch and twist to build hand strength.

Soft is the entry point. It is the resistance for a young child, for someone coming back from an injury, and for anyone whose hands tire quickly - and it is the one to buy if you are not sure, because putty that is too hard just gets put down.

It is also the best of the three as a plain desk fidget. Soft putty can be worked one-handed and absent-mindedly while a student is reading or listening, which the firmer grades cannot.

All three resistances are the same 80g tin and the same price. The only difference is how hard it is to work. If you are buying for a group, buy one of each and let the therapist or the student choose - starting on the wrong resistance is the usual reason putty gets abandoned.

The tin is marked 3+ and 80g on the packaging in the supplier's photo. That marking is on the tin; it is not written in Elizabeth Richards' product description.

Soft if you are not sure. Putty that is too hard gets abandoned, putty that is too easy still gets used. A therapist will specify; without one, start soft and move up.

Only the resistance. Same 80g tin, same price. Red is soft, green is medium, blue is firm.

It does not leave residue like modelling clay, but it will pick up carpet fibre, hair and glitter and it does not come back out. Keep it on a clean desk and back in the tin.

Not really. Putty picks up whatever it touches and cannot be washed. One tin per student is the honest answer for hygiene.

Returns, Refunds & Replacements

Mega Office Supplies accepts change-of-mind returns for unopened and unused products within 14 days from the invoice date, provided the item is returned in its original packaging and in resalable condition.
