The appeal is not replacing furniture, and the cost is permanent bench space, because the unit occupies the desk whether raised or lowered. Check the collapsed height as well as the raised one. Weight rating has to cover the monitors plus everything else on the platform, and a heavy converter on a light desk makes the whole thing wobble.
