Size follows the fold, and getting it backwards means the whole run is wrong. An A4 sheet folded in thirds fits DL, folded once fits C5, and unfolded needs C4. Pocket styles open on the short edge and suit anything bulky or machine-inserted, while wallet styles open along the long edge for hand filling. Seal type then decides speed.
