The sheet is die-cut so that pulling it expands into a three-dimensional honeycomb that wraps and grips an item without tape. The practical argument over plastic cushioning is disposal, since the customer puts it straight in the paper recycling. It suits bottles, jars and awkward shapes particularly well.
