Response time is everything, so a barrier mask, shears and a razor belong in the AED cabinet rather than in a first aid kit down the corridor. Shears cut through clothing to place pads; a razor clears chest hair that stops them adhering. Both are trivial and both cost minutes if absent. See CPR barriers, AED pads and defibrillators.
