Women from England have developed a tradition of putting five bay leaves on their pillows on the eve of Valentine’s Day. The bay leaves are placed on each corner and one at the center. This is so that they can dream about their future husbands.

The closest event to Valentine’s Day in China is the one being celebrated on the seventh day of the seventh lunar month every year. This is known as Qixi or the Seventh Night Festival. During this time, women will prepare fruits for Zhinu so that they are able to find a good husband.
For those who are already in a relationship, they will head on over to temples to pray to the gods for happiness and prosperity. Of course, when it comes to celebrating love, there aren’t any specific rules. You can send a heartfelt letter in a big red envelope, complete with red heart labels to the person that you love.
