Cork Boards

Cork thickness is what separates a board that lasts a decade from one that looks tired within a year. A thin veneer over hardboard takes pins cleanly at first, then starts holding the hole open until the surface reads as worn; a deeper cork layer closes behind the pin and keeps recovering. Buy on cork depth and frame rather than face size. If you need a writing surface instead see whiteboards, for fabric go to pinboards, and stock pins and tacks to suit.
