Hang notices, signs, posters and artwork quickly and easily, with no tacks, pins or nails required. Ideal alternative to glue on paper crafts, scrapbooking and school projects. Label storage containers to organise toys, clothes, pantry items and more. Suitable for use on most smooth indoor surfaces including wood, metal, glass, cardboard and plastic.

Additional Information:

  • Optimum application temperature is between 18-24° Celsius.
  • Adhesive reaches maximum strength after 24 hours.
  • Surface testing is recommended prior to use.
  • May not adhere to all plastic surfaces.
  • Not recommended for laundered fabrics, PVC, wallpaper, loose paint, porous or flaking surfaces. Not suitable for wet areas.
  • Relocating fastener will weaken adhesive and may damage surface.
  • Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight and the elements will damage fastener.
  • Holds up to 500g

Care and Application:

  1. Ensure surface is smooth, clean and dry.
  2. Remove backing from loop dot and position on surface.
  3. Apply firm pressure to dot to activate the adhesive.
  4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 with hook dot.
  5. Wait 15 minutes before use.

VELCRO Brand - History

Many people have wondered: Who invented VELCRO Brand hook and loop? It began with a burdock burr, a tiny seed covered in hundreds of ‘hooks’ that naturally catch onto the microscopic loops that cover fur, hair and clothing. The burr was an unassuming marvel of nature and a minor headache for man, until one day in 1941 when the burdock burr, Swiss engineer Georges de Mestral, and his dog crossed paths on a hunting trip in the Alps.

Seventy years on, that chance meeting has proven to be remarkably fruitful.

Inspired by the burr, de Mestral created the world’s first hook-and-loop fastener. De Mestral originally envisioned VELCRO Brand hook and loop as a fastener for clothing. Today it is being utilised across a wide range of industries, from healthcare to your garden shed to the military. While each VELCRO Brand product is built for a specific task, the principal mechanics remain the same. Delivery time depends on your location, the size of your order, and the shipping option selected at checkout. For in-stock items, standard metro delivery in QLD, NSW and VIC is usually 1 to 7 business days. South Australia, Tasmania, Western Australia and the Northern Territory are generally 3 to 12 business days. Express delivery for eligible parcels under 3kg is usually 1 to 4 business days in QLD, NSW, ACT and VIC. Delivery estimates apply to in-stock items only and may vary due to carrier conditions or delays.

Returns, Refunds & Replacements

Mega Office Supplies accepts change-of-mind returns for unopened and unused products within 14 days from the invoice date, provided the item is returned in its original packaging and in resalable condition. Original shipping costs are not refundable, return shipping is the customer’s responsibility, and a restocking fee may apply depending on the product type and supplier. Some items, including electronics, assembled or installed furniture, food, beverages, medicines, custom-made products, and certain bulk or special-order items, are not eligible for return unless required under Australian Consumer Law.
