Derwent 2305866 Line And Wash Paint Pan Mixed Media Assorted Set

This compact, curated collection contains versatile greys and blacks along with highly pigmented colours including six of Derwent’s most loved Inktense colours. These paints can be dissolved for subtle washes or unlike traditional watercolour, washes of vivid Inktense paint can be applied without dissolving previously dried layers. Four Graphitint colours provide muted tones and the set is completed with two neutral lighter shades. The black Line Maker pens featuring the finest quality 0.3mm and 0.8mm Japanese nibs, are perfect for versatile linework. This pocket-sized set contains two Line Makers, 12 paint pans, five mixing palettes and a sponge to clean the waterbrush and is ideal for urban sketching and on location art.

  • Inktense - creates an intense ink-like colour, which remains fixed once dried.

About Derwent

Derwent is one of the most respected and well-known brands when it comes to coloured pencils. Every Derwent pencil is crafted to the same exacting high standards, keeping alive the impeccable heritage of The Cumberland Pencil Company, home of traditional British pencil making since 1832. From the classic ranges of Artists, Studio, Graphic and Watercolour to the recently introduced Academy range for beginners in drawing and sketching, Derwent has been inspiring artists worldwide for many years and continues to do so.

Derwent Story

From humble origins to 1 million pencils a week

Our story begins in the heart of the Lake District with the discovery of graphite in the Borrowdale Valley and the birth of pencil making in Keswick. By the 1800s pencil making in Keswick was a thriving cottage industry. The Cumberland Pencil Company created its first pencil in 1832 and the first Derwent art colour pencil was introduced in 1938. Our Pencil Museum still stands on the site of our original factory in Keswick. Derwent has continued to be proud of its Cumbrian roots and in 2008 a purpose-built factory was opened in Lillyhall.

At Derwent, we continue to evolve and improve not only our traditional pencils but also to introduce new innovative products serving generations of artists and hobbysits.
