Kyocera TK8604 Toner Cartridge Yellow - 20,000 Pages

Get a genuine advantage with original Kyocera printer toner

  • Kyocera has spent decades developing technologies that consistently deliver lower running costs than our competitors. Toner is not a “one size fits all” consumable and there is only one supplier who can deliver the quality, economy and reliability you expect when you purchase a KYOCERA device.
  • Choosing Kyocera can mean producing up to 85% less electronic waste during the life of the device thanks to Kyocera technology. Kyocera devices produce significantly less waste because the ECOSYS concept does not involve the replacement of the photoconductor drum and developer unit when the toner runs out.

About Kyocera

Kyocera Document Solutions

Kyocera established its Sydney head office in 1989 with branch offices in Melbourne, Perth and Brisbane, and received Government Endorsed Supplier Status in 1994. Following Kyocera’s acquisition of global copier manufacturer Mita Corporation in early 2000, Kyocera Mita Australia was formed in October 2000 to lead a global restructure that would accelerate the convergence of networked document management systems. In 2004, Kyocera Mita Australia acquired General Business Machines and set-up a new Adelaide office, and four years later acquired Action Copiers in Melbourne.

Kyocera Mita changed to KYOCERA Document Solutions in April 2012. This change reflects the company’s growth as a global supplier of solutions which consistently develop and deliver customer benefits, technological innovation and environmental sustainability.

Today, Kyocera Document Solutions Australia is one of the world's leading document solutions companies, delivering leading-edge printers and multifunction devices (MFDs) for Australian businesses. It is renowned for its innovation and leadership in reducing Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and minimising the impact of printers and MFDs on the environment through its unique ECOSYS technology and its successful recycling programs.

Kyocera Corporate Background

Kyocera was established in Japan in 1959. The company pioneered the use of fine ceramics as an alternative to steel and plastics. It has also developed market leadership in semiconductors, telecommunications hardware, optics, electronics, metal processing, automotive components, medicine and solar energy. Kyocera has more than 71,000 people employed in 25 countries all around the world (as at 31 March 2013).

Kyocera - A Technological and Environmental Pacesetter

ECOSYS (Economy, Ecology and Systems) Technology

Developing products that are kind to the environment – while still being highly economical to run – was the fundamental thinking behind the development of ECOSYS. Kyocera introduced the cartridge-free ECOSYS printer concept in 1992 as a means of reducing Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), while improving the printer’s environmental impact.

Conventional printers use an imaging cartridge that integrates a photoreceptor drum, developer and toner into a single, disposable unit. When the toner is depleted, the entire cartridge is disposed of and replaced with a new unit. In contrast, ECOSYS printers feature a durable imaging system based on Kyocera’s patented amorphous silicon print drum, a combination of ceramic and metal. With a surface that is second only to diamond in hardness, Kyocera’s durable print drum is guaranteed up to 500,000 pages on some series models. That’s because tiny ceramic particles embedded in Kyocera’s toner continually polish and recondition the drum during normal printing, virtually eliminating the need for replacement of the drum and other cartridge components (a task which is typically performed many times over the life of a conventional printer).

The result is printers and copiers which create less waste and have a lower comparable cost per print and less downtime, making them up to 50% less expensive to operate than comparative models and much more reliable.

Commitment to the Environment

Our Corporate worldwide green policies encourage conservation and recycling, along with the development of products and technologies that can actually minimise the impact on the environment. The Kyocera Eco-Product label is carried on these products. In 1991 Kyocera implemented its Environmental Charter worldwide. The company has received accreditation from numerous conservation organisations including: Green Seal (USA), Blue Angel (Europe), Ecomark (Japan), Qualidate Ambiental (South America). Our products are all Energy Star compliant.
