Two ways of getting a thick stroke and they suit different hands. A chisel nib is a fixed width and varies the line by the angle you hold it at, which is what traditional scripts are built around. A brush tip varies with pressure instead and is more forgiving to learn on. Either way, paper decides the result, because absorbent stock feathers every stroke.
