Golden Ochre For Autumn Themes And Illuminated Letters

This listing brings ten Staedtler 375-16 pigment calligraphy pens in golden ochre.

Golden ochre is an earth pigment colour, a warm mustard that stands in for gold where a metallic marker would be too flashy. It shines in autumn and harvest themed pieces, Thanksgiving and Diwali cards, borders around a certificate, and the illuminated first letter of a verse, where it can be outlined in brown or black once dry.

Yellow family inks can look thin on white paper, so the broad approx. 2.0 mm chisel tip matters here: each stroke lays a solid band that stays readable. Staedtler say Multi Ink is lightfast and waterproof, and because it is translucent, a second pass gives a richer, deeper ochre. Brown 76 and bordeaux 23 sit well next to it in a warm palette.

This is not a metallic ink. For shine, the 8325-11 gold metallic calligraphy marker is the choice.

Build a warm palette from calligraphy pens, metallic pens, art markers and the Staedtler range.

FAQs

This listing is ten golden ochre pens. Staedtler show 375-16 as an individual pen and publish no carton or box figure.
No. It is a flat, warm mustard colour in pigment ink. For a metallic finish see Staedtler 8325-11 gold metallic calligraphy marker.
Golden ochre is darker than a lemon yellow, and the broad chisel lays a solid line. Going over a stroke again deepens it further.
Yes. Once dry, Staedtler say Multi Ink takes overpainting without smudging, so a black outline stays crisp.
