Muted Green Lettering For Botanical And Rustic Work

Staedtler 375-57 puts a muted olive green into the pigment calligraphy pen range, a leafy, slightly earthy shade that reads as natural rather than bright.

It is the green to reach for when lettering belongs with plants and produce: herb and seed labels, garden journals, pressed flower pages, farmers market signs, and harvest or rustic wedding stationery on kraft card. Olive also works as a quiet accent beside the browns and golden ochre in the same range, and it is one of the twelve colours in the 375 C12 box.

How the tip works: Staedtler give the chisel as approx. 2.0 mm. Broad side down gives the full stroke and the narrow edge gives fine connecting lines, so a single pen handles italic, foundational or modern hands.

Staedtler describe the Multi Ink as water-based, pigmented and translucent, drying fast to a permanent, waterproof and lightfast line that does not show on the back of the page.

FAQs

No. Olive is a softened, yellowish green with an earthy cast, closer to leaves in shade than grass in sun. For a livelier colour look at turquoise 375-35.
Per Staedtler, once the ink has completely dried it can be worked over without smearing, and water does no harm to finished lettering. Allow a short wait before the wash.
Staedtler list cardboard and wood among the surfaces Multi Ink suits, along with artist papers, canvas and photo paper. Try a small area first on anything absorbent.
You receive ten olive green pens. Staedtler themselves catalogue 375-57 as an individual pen without a box quantity, so we pack and sell it in tens.
