The history of Goldbuch Georg Brückner GmbH begins with household and toilet paper. On 14th January 1907, Georg Brückner became a partner of the former Bamberger roller mill, Kailing & Cie. And despite the imminent outbreak of war, the founders were optimistic enough to purchase the former steel casting factory of Bertram & Graf placed in the Hallstadter Straße in summer 1914.
After the end of World War II, it took place the first generational change in "Georg Brückner paper processing”: the founders sons - Anton, Rudolf and Richard - took over together the business in 1945, after the death of their parents. A year later, the company obtained the production license, covering the whole manufacturing process. The albums became so popular that they were awarded the best product in the Frankfurt autumn trade fair of 1949.
The 60s are also known as the "Plastic age". New manufacturing processes made possible to produce art print materials in large quantities and at low cost, and of course, the Brückner Company saw immediately the benefits of this new technology.
In 1991, Richard Brückner died, the last of the 3 brothers who took over the company in 1945. Robert Brückner was from now on in charge of the successful company. In 1993 the brand name "Goldbuch" is now advertised worldwide by the official company "Goldbuch Georg Brückner GmbH". In addition to the expansion of production, a modern high-bay warehouse is built in 1994, which considerably increases storage capacity. A modern logistics hall follows in 1997.
In 2014, Dr. Arndt Brückner, son of Robert Brückner, takes over the management. Thanks to a fantastic team and constant investment in the Bamberg location, we are a modern family business where the new is welcome and the appreciation of each individual counts.
