Turtle of Life

Turtle of Life is the original painting by 13-year-old Sheyleace Stevens, a proud Indigenous artist from the Dunghutti people from Birpai land in Port Macquarie.

The Turtle of Life range has been produced in collaboration with Spencil, with a full suite of special products for school and play, for kids to use and love!

Turtle of Life was inspired by the natural surroundings and sea-life of Burpai land. Sheyleace’s choice of the turtle as the centrepiece of Turtle of Life symbolises resilience, perseverance, and the unique beauty of Indigenous culture.

Through her artwork, Sheyleace hopes her art inspires other people to connect with their elders and learn more about the land on which we live.
