Two women in Wisconsin, USA, had a big idea back in 1928. What if playtime could be more than just fun for kids? What if toys could do more for them?
By 1930, The Playskool Institute produced more than 40 different toys including a pounding bench, wooden beads and blocks, a table-mounted sandbox, a pegboard, and others. 1938 - Playskool Institute becomes Playskool!
1943 - Lincoln Logs joins the Playskool line of products. 1968 - Playskool acquired by Milton Bradley. 1970 - Our Dressy Kids 'Dressy Bessy' and 'Dapper Dan' join the crew! Who knew getting dressed could be so much fun?
1984 - Playskool (including Milton Bradley) acquired by Hasbro, expanding the line to include Hasbro classics like Glo Worm, Alphie, Digger the Dog, and Weebles.
1991 - Tonka (including Kenner Products) was purchased by Hasbro bringing their famed trucks and iconic Sit 'n Spin to the Playskool family of products. 2010 - Busy Ball Popper playset brings poppin' active fun to playtime!
