  • Manufactured by Oki in its independent manufacturing facilities under its specific guidelines so as to guarantee and maintain only the highest quality output and performance.
  • This original yellow drum unit will deliver superb quality printouts, making it versatile for a variety of different print jobs depending on need.
  • The print volume capacity of this genuine Oki 46507409 Yellow Drum Unit is approximately 30000 A4 pages at 5% page coverage*.
  • Laser processing is the technology behind how the toner creates the image and is applied to the page. Basically, it does this by first creating a static charge on a bunch of photo-voltaic cells on a photoconductor drum assembly. This charged drum then attracts the toner particles to its surface. Then a charge roller provides a reverse charge to attract the toner image from the drum and onto the paper. It then goes through a heated fusing apparatus where the particles of toner are virtually melted into the paper to ensure adhesion for handling and display.
  • Suitable for use in Oki C712N printers.
  • Utilise with the highest printer settings and recommended media to guarantee prints up to 1200 x 600 dots per inch resolution as Oki has incorporated ProQ2400 Multi-level technology.

About OKI

Our parent company, OKI Electric was established in 1881 by Kibataro Oki and began life trading as Meikosha Ltd in a rented two storey office block in the heart of Tokyo. Its founder, a silversmith by trade, nurtured a burning passion for innovation and firmly believed Japan was on the verge of entering the communication age. Before passing away, at the age of 58, Oki-san had already paved the way for his company to become the first successful telecommunications manufacturer in Japan.

In addition to pioneering activity within telecommunications, OKI Electric quickly grew and began innovating in others areas of communication. The post Second World War period saw the development of ATM machines, teletypewriters and electronic computers. Faxes and connectivity advances followed later in the century before printing came to the fore, initially in the late 1970's and early 1980's, and then later with the introduction of LED.
