- The unique qualities of the OKI ink in the toner batch ensure that printed output is resistant to fading and smudging and this contributes substantially to enhancing the robustness, durability and longevity of the printed page for handling, processing and archiving.
- Cartridge delivers optimal colour matching and highly rendered printing resolution up to 1200 x 1200 DPI (Dots per Inch). For even better results operators can explore the advanced printer settings and use with special media types. Operators can also extend the life of the toner cartridge and get more prints by changing these settings to a TONER SAVE or DRAFT mode. These modes significantly reduce the concentration of toner so that less is used. This latter option is perfect for undertaking printing for internal office jobs like memos and reminders and other similar jobs where the highest quality is not necessary.
- The process utilised with these types of printer cartridges to form the printed output is through the use of a laser beam to create electrostatic charging. This is known as laser printing technology. A cylindrical photoconductor or drum is an integral part of this process. It has a photo-sensitive surface that changes electrical state when a light source is directed upon it. Initially, this coating on the drum is covered with electrostatic charges of electrons to attract oppositely opposed charged toner particles. The laser then is switched on, and it discharges all the areas on the drum where there is no image. What is left on the on the surface of the drum is an invisible highly charge area of the desired image. In the next rotation, these charges act to pull across the toner particles from the developer roller of the toner cartridge to create the primary image. Paper then enters the printer to an exacting spot below the drum, and as the paper and drum move synchronously, another reverse charge is applied to the underside of the paper. This charging effect immediately pulls the printed image from the drum down onto the paper. It then is transported to a fixing element area where the image particles are fused with heat and pressure into the fibres of the paper so that it remains permanently attached to the paper. It then is moved out of the printer onto a tray ready for further operator use. The major advantage of laser printing over others is the speed and volume such prints can be produced, so ideal for office and other work settings where medium to higher print volumes are required.
- Suitable for use in OKI C532DN, MC573DN, and MC563DN colour laser printers and multifunction devices.

About OKI
Our parent company, OKI Electric was established in 1881 by Kibataro Oki and began life trading as Meikosha Ltd in a rented two storey office block in the heart of Tokyo. Its founder, a silversmith by trade, nurtured a burning passion for innovation and firmly believed Japan was on the verge of entering the communication age. Before passing away, at the age of 58, Oki-san had already paved the way for his company to become the first successful telecommunications manufacturer in Japan.
In addition to pioneering activity within telecommunications, OKI Electric quickly grew and began innovating in others areas of communication. The post Second World War period saw the development of ATM machines, teletypewriters and electronic computers. Faxes and connectivity advances followed later in the century before printing came to the fore, initially in the late 1970's and early 1980's, and then later with the introduction of LED.
