• Laser processing is the technology behind how the toner creates the image and is applied to the page. It does this by first creating a static charge on a bunch of photo-voltaic cells on a photoconductor drum assembly. This charged drum then attracts the toner particles to its surface. Then a charge roller provides a reverse charge to attract the toner image from the drum and onto the paper. It then goes through a heated fusing apparatus where the particles of toner are virtually melted into the media to ensure adhesion for handling and display.

Our parent company, OKI Electric was established in 1881 by Kibataro Oki and began life trading as Meikosha Ltd in a rented two storey office block in the heart of Tokyo.
