Is Spray Adhesive Permanent?

It works instantly and can be used for either permanent or temporary bonds. Spray only one surface and adhere while the surface is still tacky for a temporary bond. Spray both surfaces, allow the adhesive to dry to a tack, and then adhere for a permanent hold.

Heavy Duty Spray Adhesive is used for both temporary and permanent bonding. It is ideal for uneven or porous surfaces and weight materials so it can be used in upholstery shops, marinas, sheet metal shops, leather shops, foam shops, and in the specialized industry of asbestos abatement. For best results apply Spray 90 Adhesive to both bonding surfaces. Bonds can be made approximately 30 seconds after application. To achieve high initial strength allow 2 to 3 minutes before bonding for ultimate initial strength allow 5 to 10 minutes before bonding. 3M™ Super 77™ is a multipurpose spray adhesive that can be used to bond many lightweight materials. Spray glues are commonly used for crafts and art projects, repairing furniture and appliances, and mending leather or fabric. Some spray adhesives are repositionable, allowing for detailed placement. Most sprays dry clear and won't bleed through or cause wrinkling on paper applications.
