Starting pistol has three tones:

1. Simulated gun sounds for athletics and cross country events.
2. Electronic beeper used in swimming.
3. Standard whistle sound.

Pistol has a high visibility light signal for accurate timing of performance. Pistol requires 3 x AAA batteries. Amplifier has built in rechargeable battery.
