Self-correcting puzzle pieces that match letters to pictures
Learning Can Be Fun Alphabet Match-up, supplier code EVLMUA, is a puzzle game that helps children recognise letters and connect them with their sounds by matching upper and lower case letters to pictures.
The pictures are colourful images such as ants, rainbows, watermelons and zebras. Each of the 52 puzzle pieces is self-correcting, which Learning Can Be Fun explains means a piece will only connect with its correct match. The game also includes an activity guide to extend the learning beyond the basic matching activity.
Self-correcting pieces let children check their own answers, so they can work independently without waiting for an adult to confirm each match. Learning Can Be Fun says the game reinforces letter recognition and sound association and supports early reading development in a playful, hands-on way.
Match-up games for emotions, colours and shapes, and numbers are listed in the Learning Can Be Fun range. Browse educational games, teacher resources and educational supplies for more early literacy activities.
