About Kembla Australia
The Kembla Community works with some of Australia’s most talented Indigenous artists, along with new up & coming artists. You’ll find their work on the range of greeting cards and wrapping paper. The roster of Indigenous artists includes Jeannie Mills Pwerle, Janet Golder Kngwarreye, Margaret Wallace and many more. These talented artists were taught by their Elders and they typically paint stories passed down to them about their homelands.
Whilst we work with a lot of established artists, we also make it a priority to raise the profiles of new Indigenous artists. Emerging artists who will become the guardians of Indigenous art in the future. Kembla Community acknowledges the traditional custodians of country across Australia. We pay our respects to them, and to Elders past, present and future
One group they work closely with is the art community. They’ve established an Indigenous Art Series program and the goal is to help talented Indigenous artists achieve financial independence. Together they design and make artistic products. Royalties from the sale of every item is paid directly to the artists they work with. The Kembla Community supports Indigenous Artists.
