Derwent #34304 Watersoluble Graphitone Pencil Assorted Pack Of 4 - Box 6

Amazing! No wood casing just pure water-soluble graphite in a stick! There are so many things you can do with Derwent Watersoluble Graphitone; you can use it like a pencil but the real fun begins when you peel off the wrapper!

Use the stick whole or break it into chunks to create broad sweeps of tone really quickly then, just add water and watch the graphite dissolve into softness! You can choose from 4 wash strengths from a light to a very dark wash. Contains Light Wash 2B, Medium Wash 4B, Dark Wash 6B and Very Dark Wash 8B.

Product Features:

  • Newly formulated stick of pure artist quality graphite with the added advantage of being watersoluble.
  • Can be used as a traditional pencil, or remove the paper wrap and produce broader strokes using the side of the stick.
  • Unique "easy to peel" paper wrap.
  • Perfect for expressive sketching and drawing.
  • Available in 4 degrees : 2B (Light Wash), 4B (Medium Wash), 6B (Dark Wash) and 8B (Very Dark Wash).

Every Derwent pencil is crafted to the same exacting high standards, keeping alive the impeccable heritage of The Cumberland Pencil Company, home of traditional British pencil making since 1832. From the classic ranges of Artists, Studio, Graphic and Watercolour to the recently introduced Academy range for beginners in drawing and sketching, Derwent has been inspiring artists worldwide for many years and continues to do so.

Derwent Story

From humble origins to 1 million pencils a week

Our story begins in the heart of the Lake District with the discovery of graphite in the Borrowdale Valley and the birth of pencil making in Keswick.By the 1800s pencil making in Keswick was a thriving cottage industry.TheCumberland Pencil Companycreated its first pencil in 1832 and the first Derwent art colour pencil was introduced in 1938. Our Pencil Museum still stands on the site of our original factory in Keswick. Derwent has continued to be proud of its Cumbrian roots and in 2008 a purpose-built factory was opened in Lillyhall.

At Derwent, we continue to evolve and improve not only our traditional pencils but also to introduce new innovative products serving generations of artists and hobbysits.
