Creative School Supply Acrylic Base Round 10cm Clear Pack of 10

The Acrylic Base Round 10cm Clear is made from 2mm thick clear Perspex, is strong, durable and lightweight. Best used as a project base for models, decorative crafts (e.g. deco mosaics, alcohol inks) or as a printing plate.

Use for Dry Point Etching: Carve directly into the Acrylic Base using a sharp pointed etching tool. Cover the plate with etching ink and using a dabber (or rag) firmly rub and press the ink into the incised lines. Wipe the Acrylic Base back using newspaper (careful not to remove the ink in the incised lines). To take a print, pass through a printing press and print onto dampened paper for best results.

Use as a lightweight base for decorative crafts:

• Create a mosaic coaster: Apply double sided adhesive tape to one side of the Acrylic Base. Use Deco Mosaic tiles to cover and pattern the surface, by pressing the tiles onto the tape to adhere. Use grout to fill in the gaps. Alternatively, line the tile with Magiclay – this will become the adhesive and the grout. Press the Deco-mosaic tiles directly into the Magiclay surface and allow to dry.
• Acrylic Base can be drawn on to with Posca Marker and other permanent pens. If using Acrylic Base as coaster, decorate the understand of the base so the design appears through the tile.
