• The technology used with this type of toner cartridge is known as laser processing. A laser produces a static electricity charge in the form of a reverse image onto a photoconductor drum assembly. The toner particles housed on the roller inside the toner cartridge get attracted to only the charged areas. The toner sticks to the paper instead of the charge roller because the paper is in between the charge roller and the drum. It then moves to a fusing unit, which compresses and melts the toner into the to cure the adhesion.
