Description

BioPak 25L Compostable Bin Liner with Handle Pack of 100 x 10

BioPak BioPlastic Bags are made from Ecopond bioplastic. These shopping bags are certified home compostable to European standards and compostable to AS4736-2006 Australian standards. Bioplastic bags with handles are banned as carry bags in QLD, VIC, NSW & WA. They are accepted if not used to carry goods (for eg. as bin liners or dog waste bags).

  • BioPak bioplastic rubbish bags are made from a synthetic biodegradable bioplastic combined with plant-starch – Ecopond.
  • These compostable bin liners are certified home compostable to Australian Standards (AS5810) and commercially compostable to Australian Standards (AS4736). That means these compostable bin bags are accepted wherever there are municipal organic waste collection services. If the trash bags do end up in the environment, they will biodegrade more rapidly than conventional plastic bags.
  • Explore BioPak range of FSC™ paper bags as an accepted alternative to carry bags.
  • Bioplastics have a 6-month shelf life from purchase and must be stored out of direct sun and below 35°C.
  • Custom printed bags are BioPak speciality. We offer free printing – minimum orders vary. The minimum order for 80L bin liners is 19,000 units and 8L bin liners is 150,000 units. Please contact us for more info.
  • BANS: Bioplastic bags with handles are banned as carry bags in the following Australian states: QLD, VIC, NSW & WA. They are accepted if not used to carry goods (for eg. as bin liners or dog waste bags). Australian states are implementing different single-use plastic bans.

About Biopak

Disruptive at our core, BioPak was born from necessity. As a solution to a problem. Our founders, Richard Fine and Gary Smith, recognised the alarming stats: Over 91% of plastics produced aren’t recycled. That leaves the vast majority of plastic accumulating in landfill or the natural environment, which eventually winds up in the ocean.

It became clear the traditional ‘take, make, waste’ model was broken. The world needed compostable food service packaging made from sustainably sourced renewable materials – and fast.

So with a vision to make a real impact, BioPak began in 2006. A time when ‘sustainability’ was still an out-there and far-flung concept. But what began as a grassroots initiative is now a leader in environmentally sustainable packaging manufacturing.

Today, we’re globally recognised and embraced by distributors and customers throughout Australia, New Zealand, United Kingdom, Europe, Singapore and Hong Kong. Each year we continue to lead the way toward a truly circular economy and move closer to our mission of a world without waste.
