Black Heavy Duty Hook and Loop Tape for Garage and Workshop Walls

Velcro Brand Heavy Duty Hook and Loop Tape 25556 is a single black roll, 25mm wide and 1m long, that you cut to length and press onto a clean, smooth surface to hold tools, fittings and equipment in place.

The pack front prints Holds up to 3kg and shows hand tools hanging from a wall rail, while the back names the garage or shed as the setting. Velcro Australia list this code on their Heavy Duty Tape page with painted wallboard, glass, metal and most plastics as suitable smooth surfaces, and they quote 675g for every 25 x 25mm square across that range.

Cutting the roll to size lets a single purchase cover several short strips, for example under a power board on a tool cabinet as the back of the pack shows. Per the pack, the optimum application temperature is 18 to 24 Celsius, and Velcro Australia state the adhesive reaches maximum strength after 24 hours.

For pale walls there is a white roll of the same size, and the range also includes a wider roll and cut rectangles. Browse Velcro Brand, compare all hook and loop fasteners, see our mounting solutions or find other tapes for the workshop.

FAQs

The only weight figure the pack prints is Holds up to 3kg, with no note of the tape length behind it. Velcro Australia's Heavy Duty Tape page quotes a separate range figure of 675g per 25 x 25mm square. Test the surface first, as the pack advises, before hanging anything heavy or valuable.
The pack for this code makes no claim for use outside, and it states the tape is not suitable for wet areas. It also warns that long exposure to direct sun and the elements harms the fastener, so keep it indoors and dry.
The pack advises against laundered fabrics, PVC, wallpaper, loose paint and porous or flaking surfaces, and says it may not adhere to all plastics. Velcro Australia also warn that moving the fastener after fixing weakens the adhesive and may mark the surface.
Yes. Velcro Australia show the black 25556 and the white 25557 together on their Heavy Duty Tape page, both at 25mm x 1m. We sell the white roll as its own listing.
The pack in our photographs prints Product of the USA and China, packed in Australia. Pack wording can change between print runs, so check the pack you receive if origin matters for your order.
