Black Heavy Duty Hook Only Tape on a 3m Roll

Velcro Brand 25551 is a black hook only tape, 25mm wide on a 3m roll, sold in a hanging box labelled Heavy Duty, while Velcro Australia's website lists the same code as Extreme Duty Hook Only Tape.

The box prints holding power indoors or outdoors, and its back panel reads Holds up to 3kg. Velcro Australia's Extreme Duty Tape page quotes 900g per 25 x 25mm square for that range and names painted wallboard, glass, metal and most plastics among the smooth surfaces it suits. The box front pictures a framed pinboard being lifted onto a wall.

As the name on the box says, this roll carries the hook side only, which suits jobs where the loop side is already fitted or bought separately. Cut it to length, press it on firmly to activate the adhesive and, per Velcro Australia, wait 24 hours before use.

The 25mm hook and loop rolls and the wide 50mm roll sit alongside it in the Heavy Duty range. Browse Velcro Brand, compare hook and loop fasteners or look through our tapes for related rolls.

FAQs

The box is labelled Hook Only Tape and Velcro Australia list it as Extreme Duty Hook Only Tape, so plan for the loop side separately. Neither the box nor Velcro Australia's page names a matching loop code, so we make no pairing claim.
The box in our photographs prints Heavy Duty, while Velcro Australia's website files code 25551 under Extreme Duty Tape. It is the same code, 25mm x 3m in black, and our listing title keeps the box wording.
On the back panel the box gives Holds up to 3kg, leaving open how long a strip that figure covers. Velcro Australia's Extreme Duty Tape page quotes 900g per 25 x 25mm square, a figure for the range rather than this box. The box advises testing before any heavy item goes up.
The box prints holding power indoors or outdoors, yet its limitations exclude wet areas. The same box also cautions that extended time in harsh sun or the elements damages the fastener.
The box in our photograph prints Product of the USA, packed in Australia, with no second country named. Check the box on arrival if origin matters, as wording can change between runs.
