Black Hook Tape at 25mm Wide, Supplied as a 25m Roll

This Velcro Brand roll, code 14747, carries 25m of hook tape that is 25mm wide and black, and its spool is labelled Velcro Brand Stick On 0172 Hook Tape. At 25mm, it sits in the middle of the black hook widths we list in this line.

Hook only tape supplies one side of a hook and loop closure, so a loop side has to be fitted opposite it before anything fastens. The loop roll in the same 25mm width, black colour and 0172 line is code 14847, which we stock as its own 25m roll. On our store the same line also comes in 19mm (code 14435) and 50mm (code 15008) hook rolls in black.

The spool directions call for a surface that is clean and dry, with the backing tape stripped off at the moment of application, and they single out smooth, non-porous surfaces for the best results from the pressure sensitive adhesive. The directions also give 24 hours to full bond, worth planning around before the closure is used.

The loop partner and the other widths are in the Velcro range. Dots, straps and smaller rolls are grouped under hook and loop fasteners, and general rolls of tape are in our tapes collection.

FAQs

It means the roll carries only the hook side of the fastening. Code 14747 needs a loop side opposite it, and the matching 25mm black loop roll in the 0172 line is code 14847.
The spool directions favour smooth, non-porous surfaces that are clean and dry. On anything rough or porous, try a test piece before committing a whole run.
We have not found one. The spool label prints no load or weight figure, so the page does not state one.
No. The spool card advises against strapping items to car racks with this tape. A dedicated strap is the better fit for that job.
