White Heavy Duty Hook and Loop Tape for Light Walls and Fittings

The Velcro Brand 25557 Heavy Duty Hook and Loop Tape is a white roll measuring 25mm x 1m, sold to be cut into strips that sit neatly against pale walls, white cabinets and light coloured fittings.

This pack uses a different card design from the black roll. The pack front and back both print the line holding power indoors or outdoors, and a weight panel on the back reads Holds up to 3kg. ACCO Brands Australia list code 25557 as white tape at 25mm x 1m, and Velcro Australia show it on the same Heavy Duty Tape page as the black roll.

Short strips cut from the roll can hold signs, notices and desk accessories, which Velcro Australia present as an alternative to nails, screws and epoxies. Velcro Australia's surface list covers painted wallboard, glass, metal and most plastics, and they advise waiting 24 hours before use.

If the fixing will show against a dark surface, the black roll in the same size may suit better. See the full Velcro Brand line, our hook and loop fasteners, other adhesives and fasteners and mounting solutions for offices and classrooms.

FAQs

The pack prints holding power indoors or outdoors, but the same pack says it is not suitable for wet areas. The pack adds a warning about prolonged direct sunlight and the elements, so a sheltered, dry spot is the better choice.
The back of the pack reads Holds up to 3kg without saying how much tape that relies on. Velcro Australia's Heavy Duty Tape page gives 675g per 25 x 25mm square as a separate figure for the range, so test before relying on either.
Our photographs show the white roll on a card with red HEAVY DUTY lettering, a QR code and a Cut to Length panel, while the black 25556 card has dark lettering and a red badge on its side panel. Velcro Australia show both codes at 25mm x 1m on their Heavy Duty Tape page.
Per the pack, the surface should be smooth, clean, dry and free of dirt, and 18 to 24 Celsius is the optimum for both the surface and the tape when applying it. The pack also notes it may not adhere to every plastic and advises testing first.
The back panel in our photograph reads Product of the USA and China and Packed in Australia. That wording belongs to the pack shown, so check the label on delivery if the origin is important to you.
