Black chalk marker for light, clear and shiny surfaces

A single Uni PWE-8K liquid chalk marker in black, colour code 24, with an 8mm chisel tip for bold wipe-off lettering on windows, mirrors, white glass panels and metal.

A black chalk marker sounds odd until you need to write on something pale. Frosted or white-backed glass, a mirror in a bright room, a stainless steel canister, a clear jar or a light acrylic panel all need a dark colour to be readable, and that is where this one belongs. It is not for blackboards, where black on black simply disappears.

The chisel face lays down thick capitals for a sale notice on a shop door, and the edge draws cleaner lines for labels on storage jars in a cafe kitchen. Because Uni Australia rate it to hold through rain and to clear with nothing more than a damp cloth, it suits notices that change each week. Porous materials are excluded by Uni UK.

No, it will not be visible on a black board. This colour is for light, clear and shiny surfaces such as windows, mirrors, white glass and steel.
No. It is made to be wiped away, and Uni Australia's removal method is simply a damp cloth. For labels that must stay, use a permanent marker instead.
Glass is one of the non-porous surfaces Uni list for this marker. Boards differ, so write and wipe a small corner first.
