Sixty Pigment Brush Pens For A Studio Or Shared Art Room

Staedtler 371 C60 is the 60 pen box of the pigment brush pen 371, combining the full colour list of the 371 C36 with the 24 earthy and deep shades of the 371 C24-1 in one set.

With sixty colours to hand, most work can be coloured straight from the pen instead of being built up in layers. There are five greys with light and intense black for shading, a run of sands from ivory to dune, six reds from scarlet to maroon, and blues from ice blue to navy, so skin, stone, timber, water and foliage each get their own tones.

The ink is Staedtler Multi Ink. Staedtler call it water-based and translucent, an India ink built on high quality pigments that dries fast and turns permanent and waterproof, and they classify the lightfastness of every colour on the blue wool and grey scales. It can be overpainted once fully dry without smudging and, by Staedtler account, stays on the front of the sheet. A stable brush nib varies the stroke with pressure. Staedtler state the range is made in Germany.
