Five Aquarell Graphite Pencils and a Brush in One Tin

Staedtler Mars Lumograph aquarell 100A G6 is a metal tin holding five water-soluble graphite pencils and a round brush #8, a ready kit for monochrome watercolour sketching.

The tin print shows the mix: two 8B, two 6B and one 4B, the three degrees Staedtler make in the aquarell range. Doubling the darker grades makes sense, as they are the ones that wear down fastest in washes.

Draw dry for line and texture, then use the included brush with clean water to dissolve the graphite into soft greys. Staedtler describe the pencils as premium water-soluble graphite for expressive dry-to-wet transitions, with precise preliminary sketches turning into fluid washes. Each lead is approx. 3.6 mm in a blue hexagonal barrel.

The Artist Series tin closes flat, so the kit travels well in a bag with a small sketchbook.

Add art paper, sketch pencils, sharpeners and erasers to complete the kit.

Yes. We sell the 4B, 6B and 8B aquarell degrees in boxes of 12.
Watercolour or heavy mixed-media paper. Lighter sketch paper is fine for dry drawing but will buckle under washes.
