Cut-To-Fit Foam In The Black MAX505

The Panaro MAX505S is the black MAX505 watertight case supplied with pick and pluck cubed foam, so you can pull out a cavity shaped to your camera, meter or handset.

Panaro fill the 500 x 350 x 194 mm interior with a 20 mm base pad, two 55 mm layers of pre-scored cubes and a convoluted 50 mm lid pad. Trace your gear on the top layer, pull out every cube within the outline, and go one or both layers deep to suit its height. Panaro give the finished case as 4.44 kg.

The polypropylene shell seals on a polymer O-ring, the nylon latches are double throw, and an automatic valve releases the pressure difference after a flight or a climb so the lid opens easily. Panaro test this model for IP67 sealing and to NATO's STANAG 4280 and the UK's DEF STAN 81-41 protocols, with separate reports for MIL-STD-810H and ATA 300; the datasheet, drawing and every report are downloadable on this page. It is made in Italy.

Lay the item on the top cubed layer, trace around it, then pull out the cubes inside the outline. Remove the matching cubes from the second layer if the item is taller than 55 mm.
