7.5cm is a big lens for small hands - wide enough that a child finds the object without hunting for it, which is the thing that makes cheap little magnifiers so frustrating. The lens is glass, not moulded plastic, so it does not scratch to a fog in a term of pockets and playgrounds.

5x is the right power for this. Higher magnification narrows the field and shortens the working distance until a child is pressing the lens against an ant. At 5x you can hold it comfortably and see a whole leaf, a whole insect, the grain in a piece of bark.

From about three upwards. The handle and the big lens are what make them work for little hands; there is nothing sharp and nothing to swallow.

For nature study, yes, and more is worse. Higher magnification means a narrower view and a shorter working distance, so a child spends the lesson hunting for the object instead of looking at it.

Glass. A plastic lens is lighter and cheaper but goes cloudy with scratches, usually within a term of being carried in pockets.

A magnifier focuses sunlight and can start a fire or burn skin. That is worth saying to a class before they go outside with twelve of them, not after.

This line is the pack of twelve. If you want one or two, the bi-focal magnifier at $3 is the cheaper single option.

Returns, Refunds & Replacements

Mega Office Supplies accepts change-of-mind returns for unopened and unused products within 14 days from the invoice date, provided the item is returned in its original packaging and in resalable condition. Original shipping costs are not refundable, return shipping is the customer’s responsibility, and a restocking fee may apply depending on the product type and supplier. Some items, including electronics, assembled or installed furniture, food, beverages, medicines, custom-made products, and certain bulk or special-order items, are not eligible for return unless required under Australian Consumer Law.

If your order arrives faulty, damaged, or incorrect, please contact Mega Office Supplies as soon as possible. Where required under Australian Consumer Law, a repair, replacement, or refund will be offered.
