The upper primary volume - same idea, harder questions
Book plus a set of photo cards plus a disc of the same photographs. Written by Dr Catherine Attard and John Pattison, photographs by John Pattison. Years 3 to 6. $74.50.
Same structure as the Early Years volume: more than 30 photographs of things children see every day, each one used as the launch point for an open-ended mathematical investigation. What changes is the mathematics the photograph is asked to carry.
Upper primary is where "when will I ever use this" starts. A photograph of a real object is a direct answer to that, which is why the everyday subject matter matters more here than it does in the early years.
Three formats of the same photographs. Disc for the projector, cards for the group, book for the teaching. Each card has its activities printed on the back so it stands alone.
The authors: Dr Catherine Attard lectures in primary mathematics pedagogy with a background in primary teaching, and researches student engagement with mathematics, particularly in the middle years - which is exactly the band this volume covers. John Pattison has extensive primary mathematics teaching experience and has worked in teacher professional development.
One practical note. The photographs come on a physical disc. Copy the files once from a machine with an optical drive if your classroom laptops do not have one.

Returns, Refunds & Replacements
Mega Office Supplies accepts change-of-mind returns for unopened and unused products within 14 days from the invoice date, provided the item is returned in its original packaging and in resalable condition. Original shipping costs are not refundable, return shipping is the customer’s responsibility, and a restocking fee may apply depending on the product type and supplier. Some items, including electronics, assembled or installed furniture, food, beverages, medicines, custom-made products, and certain bulk or special-order items, are not eligible for return unless required under Australian Consumer Law.
If your order arrives faulty, damaged, or incorrect, please contact Mega Office Supplies as soon as possible. Where required under Australian Consumer Law, a repair, replacement, or refund will be offered. In these cases, Mega Office Supplies will cover reasonable return shipping costs, and photographic evidence may be requested to help process the claim. Items should be reported within a reasonable timeframe after delivery.
