Playing cards redesigned for classrooms. Face cards replaced with 0, 11, 12 and 13. Suits replaced with triangles, rectangles, squares and circles, arranged in subitising patterns. 6 x 9cm. Green backs only. $9.30.
A standard deck is a poor maths resource for young children for two boring reasons: the face cards have no numerical value, and the pips are scattered rather than grouped. This deck fixes both.
0 to 13 in every suit means every card is a number, so a whole deck can be used for ordering, comparing, adding and place value without pulling cards out first. It also gives you a zero, which a standard deck simply does not have.
Shapes instead of suits - triangle, rectangle, square, circle - so sorting by suit is also sorting by shape, and children who do not yet know a club from a spade are not slowed down.
Subitising patterns are the real feature. The shapes are arranged in the standard groupings, so a child recognises "six" from the pattern without counting one by one. That instant recognition is a foundation of number sense, and a scattered pip layout works against it.
Green backs only - the supplier does not offer other colours, so a second deck will not be distinguishable by its back.
One thing our supplier does not state: the number of cards in this deck. Edx Education's 8-deck version of the same design is 56 cards per deck, which is what 0 to 13 in four suits comes to. We expect 56 here, but the supplier has not confirmed it, so treat it as expected rather than certain. Ask us and we will check before you order a class set.

Shipping & Delivery
Delivery time depends on your location, the size of your order, and the shipping option selected at checkout. For in-stock items, standard metro delivery in QLD, NSW and VIC is usually 1 to 7 business days. South Australia, Tasmania, Western Australia and the Northern Territory are generally 3 to 12 business days. Express delivery for eligible parcels under 3kg is usually 1 to 4 business days in QLD, NSW, ACT and VIC. Returns, Refunds & Replacements
Mega Office Supplies accepts change-of-mind returns for unopened and unused products within 14 days from the invoice date, provided the item is returned in its original packaging and in resalable condition. Original shipping costs are not refundable, return shipping is the customer’s responsibility, and a restocking fee may apply depending on the product type and supplier. Some items, including electronics, assembled or installed furniture, food, beverages, medicines, custom-made products, and certain bulk or special-order items, are not eligible for return unless required under Australian Consumer Law.
If your order arrives faulty, damaged, or incorrect, please contact Mega Office Supplies as soon as possible. Where required under Australian Consumer Law, a repair, replacement, or refund will be offered. In these cases, Mega Office Supplies will cover reasonable return shipping costs, and photographic evidence may be requested to help process the claim. Items should be reported within a reasonable timeframe after delivery.
