Derwent Watercolour Naples Yellow: soft, water-soluble pencil

Naples Yellow from Derwent Watercolour: a soft, wax-based pencil that turns to a wash with water and can be re-wet once dry.

Colour 700, Naples Yellow, comes from the 72-colour Derwent Watercolour range. Derwent's soft texture means the pencil can be blended and layered dry before any water goes on. Add water to the dry marks and they turn into colour flows across the page; the hexagonal barrel holds a wax-based, water-soluble core of 3.5mm.

Order codes: AA32807 with us, 32807 with Derwent, colour 700. Naples Yellow is sold here as a box of 6 single-colour pencils. Derwent's features table marks the range as wax-based and water-soluble with a soft texture, and rates layering at 4.

See Drawing & Colouring for drawing and colouring materials across the store. Water-soluble pencil ranges are grouped in Watercolour Pencils. Our general pencil range, graphite through colour, is in Pencils.
