Size 3 Hog Hair Flat Brush for Narrow Bands of Colour

X-Press It size 3 hog hair flat brush sits between the fine and medium flats, painting narrow bands, stripes and small blocks with a squared tip.

A size 3 is often the brush students reach for when a size 2 feels too slow but a 6 is too clumsy, such as painting fence palings, book spines on a shelf or stripes on clothing. Hog hair is a stiff natural bristle, so it moves heavier paint and leaves visible brush texture. The brush is supplied singly from the timber handled flat range.

The stiff head can also scrub paint into textured card or primed board, and the flat edge cuts a clean line along masking tape. Having an in-between size reduces how often students swap brushes during a lesson, which keeps water jars cleaner too.
