Size 12 Hog Hair Flat, the Widest Long Handle Size

X-Press It size 12 hog hair flat brush is the widest of the long handled flats in this range, for covering large canvases and boards quickly.

In the size close-up the handle carries the print 579 F alongside the number 12, with cream hog bristle set in a silver coloured ferrule. Use it to lay a sky across a large canvas, block in murals and display boards, or apply sealer and glue to wide sheets. The stiff hog hair holds a heavy load of acrylic without bending flat.

On big surfaces a wide brush keeps colour consistent across the whole area because each stroke covers more ground before reloading. It also speeds up cleaning between colours, since one brush replaces several smaller passes and fewer tools need washing.

Plan a large work with boards and stretched canvas from art paper and canvas, buy colour in bigger pots from acrylic paints, and fill any gaps in your brush kit, from detail sizes up, with our craft paint brushes.
