An Eraser Shaped Like A Pencil, With A Brush At The Other End
Staedtler Mars rasor 526 61 is an eraser pencil: a white eraser core in a blue wooden casing, pointed like a pencil, with a brush fitted at the far end, and this listing is a box of 12.
The pencil form puts a small, controllable eraser point exactly where you want it, whether that is a highlight in a graphite study or a slip in fine lettering. Turn it round and the brush clears away crumbs, so you are not sweeping the page with the side of your hand.
Staedtler size the eraser pencil at 209 x 10 x 8 mm and state it is PVC, phthalate and latex free. The barrel is printed MADE IN GERMANY, in line with Staedtler's own made in Germany pictogram for this article.
Artists use eraser pencils for lifting highlights and cleaning edges; drafters keep one for corrections that have to stay inside a narrow gap. A box of 12 is a sensible quantity for an art department, a studio or a shared drawing room.
