A very soft 7B Mars Lumograph for rich, expressive tonal shading and gestural drawing

The Staedtler Mars Lumograph 100-7B is a 7B graphite pencil, one of the softest grades in the Mars Lumograph range, supplied in a box of 12 for artists, fine art students and illustrators who require a very soft grade for rich tonal shading, dramatic dark values and expressive gestural drawing.

7B sits very close to the soft extreme of the standard Lumograph hardness scale - only 8B and 9B are softer. At 7B, the graphite core is very soft and deposits densely with minimal pressure, producing broad, dark tonal values perfect for dramatic shadow work and large-scale tonal shading. The difference from 6B is meaningful: the additional softness produces noticeably denser marks for broader tonal coverage, though slightly less controlled than 6B for fine lines. 7B is preferred for life drawing and figure drawing where large areas of deep shadow are needed quickly and expressively. Returns, Refunds & Replacements

Mega Office Supplies accepts change-of-mind returns for unopened and unused products within 14 days from the invoice date, provided the item is returned in its original packaging and in resalable condition. Original shipping costs are not refundable, return shipping is the customer’s responsibility, and a restocking fee may apply depending on the product type and supplier. Some items, including electronics, assembled or installed furniture, food, beverages, medicines, custom-made products, and certain bulk or special-order items, are not eligible for return unless required under Australian Consumer Law.
