The Centre Grade Of The Lumograph Scale
Staedtler Mars Lumograph 100-HB is a box of 12 HB drawing pencils, the middle step of the 24-degree Lumograph range and the grade most artists reach for when a drawing starts.
On the Lumograph scale HB is the balance point: softer, darker B grades lie on one side and harder, paler H grades on the other. It leaves a mid grey that is easy to see yet light enough to rub back, which suits construction lines, perspective guides and the first loose shapes of a still life before darker grades go on top.
Staedtler notes on the range mention graphite graded in fine steps, gentle tonal shifts with a slight metallic sheen, a lead that resists breaking while it is sharpened and used, and strokes that repeat evenly from one line to the next. The HB lead is approx. 2.0 mm, the same as every grade from 2B to 10H. The blue hexagonal barrel carries the grade on the black end cap, and the pencils are German made, per Staedtler.
For sharpening, Staedtler point to their 511 001 tub model or the 510 10 in metal; for erasing, the Mars plastic 526 50.

Returns, Refunds & Replacements
Mega Office Supplies accepts change-of-mind returns for unopened and unused products within 14 days from the invoice date, provided the item is returned in its original packaging and in resalable condition. Original shipping costs are not refundable, return shipping is the customer’s responsibility, and a restocking fee may apply depending on the product type and supplier. Some items, including electronics, assembled or installed furniture, food, beverages, medicines, custom-made products, and certain bulk or special-order items, are not eligible for return unless required under Australian Consumer Law.
