F Grade Lumograph For Firm, Neat Lines

Staedtler Mars Lumograph 100-F is a box of 12 pencils in F, the in-between degree that sits between HB and H.

Many people read the letter F as fine point. Being a touch harder than HB, it gives a slightly lighter line that holds its edge for longer, which suits neat handwriting, annotations on plans, technical notes and detailed sketching where smudging needs to be kept down.

Its lead measures roughly 2.0 mm by the Staedtler figure. They credit the Lumograph with even, repeatable strokes, good reproduction quality and graphite that stands up to sharpening.

The pencils are made in Germany, Staedtler state. Sharpen with the 511 001 tub or the 510 10 metal sharpener, and correct with the Mars plastic 526 50.
