A Wide, Low Ascella Pot with a Glass Lid

The Resto Ascella 28cm shallow pot holds 4.2L and comes with a tempered glass lid, a four-layer Pfluon Cookmark non-stick interior and an induction base, on a body of recycled die-cast aluminium.

Ascella is one of Resto's die-cast collections, with a body made from recycled aluminium. The shallow pot shares its 28cm diameter with the largest Ascella casserole but stands 7.9cm high, giving a wide, low pan for braising, simmering and one-pan meals that you can cover. The glass lid has a silicone rim and a steam hole, and the fluted dark brown-black exterior has a heat-resistant coating.

The two side handles carry removable silicone pads, and Resto marks the pot oven safe once the pads are slid off, though it publishes no maximum temperature. The base is reinforced with an anti-deformation disk for induction, gas, electric, vitroceramic and halogen hobs, and Resto states the range is free of lead, PFOA and cadmium.

Yes. Resto lists induction, gas, electric, vitroceramic and halogen hobs for this shallow pot, and the base is reinforced with an anti-deformation disk to help it stay flat.
Resto marks the Ascella shallow pot oven safe once the silicone pads are slid off the side handles. Resto does not publish a maximum oven temperature, or any oven rating for the glass lid, so we cannot give you a temperature limit.
Resto marks it dishwasher safe, but its care guidance limits this to low temperatures (max. 50°C) and warns the aluminium base may discolour in a dishwasher. We recommend hand washing to keep the base and the exterior coating looking their best.
Resto's specifications for this range do not name suitable utensils. To look after any non-stick coating, we suggest wooden, silicone or nylon utensils rather than metal.
The shallow pot is 28cm across and holds 4.2L at 7.9cm high, a lower shape than the 28cm casserole, which holds 6.8L. The smaller casseroles are 20cm (2.6L) and 24cm (4.6L), and the 16cm saucepan holds 1.4L.

Resto's EU Declaration of Conformity for the Ascella range lists the manufacturer's coating as a PTFE coating system. Resto states its die-cast collections are free of lead, PFOA and cadmium.
