The Mid-Size Ascella Casserole for Family Meals

The Resto Ascella 24cm casserole holds 4.6L and comes with a tempered glass lid, a four-layer Pfluon Cookmark non-stick interior and an induction base, on a body of recycled die-cast aluminium.

Ascella is one of Resto's die-cast collections, with a body made from recycled aluminium. At 24cm this is the middle of three Ascella casseroles, between the 20cm (2.6L) and 28cm (6.8L), and Resto lists it at 11.9cm high, a useful size for family stews, pasta and soup. The glass lid has a silicone rim and a steam hole, and the fluted dark brown-black exterior has a heat-resistant coating.

The two side handles carry removable silicone pads, and Resto marks the pot oven safe once the pads are slid off, though it publishes no maximum temperature. An anti-deformation disk reinforces the base for induction, gas, electric, vitroceramic and halogen hobs, and Resto states the range is free of lead, PFOA and cadmium.

Yes. Resto lists induction, gas, electric, vitroceramic and halogen hobs for this casserole, and the base is reinforced with an anti-deformation disk to help it stay flat.
Resto marks the Ascella casserole oven safe once the silicone pads are slid off the side handles. Resto does not publish a maximum oven temperature, or any oven rating for the glass lid, so we cannot give you a temperature limit.
Resto marks it dishwasher safe, but its care guidance limits this to low temperatures (max. 50°C) and warns the aluminium base may discolour in a dishwasher. We recommend hand washing to keep the base and the exterior coating looking their best.
Resto's specifications for this range do not name suitable utensils. To look after any non-stick coating, we suggest wooden, silicone or nylon utensils rather than metal.
Ascella casseroles come in 20cm (2.6L), 24cm (4.6L) and 28cm (6.8L), all with glass lids. The 28cm shallow pot holds 4.2L in a low, wide shape, and the 16cm saucepan holds 1.4L.

Resto's EU Declaration of Conformity for the Ascella range lists the manufacturer's coating as a PTFE coating system. Resto states its die-cast collections are free of lead, PFOA and cadmium.
