The Ascella Saucepan for Sauces and Small Serves

The Resto Ascella 16cm saucepan holds 1.4L and comes with a tempered glass lid, a four-layer Pfluon Cookmark non-stick interior and an induction base, on a body of recycled die-cast aluminium.

Ascella is one of Resto's die-cast collections, with a body made from recycled aluminium. At 16cm and 1.4L the saucepan is the smallest lidded piece in the range, and Resto lists it at 8.4cm high. Unlike the Ascella casseroles it has a single long soft-touch handle with a hanging loop. The glass lid has a silicone rim and a steam hole, and the fluted dark brown-black exterior has a heat-resistant coating.

An anti-deformation disk reinforces the induction base, and Resto lists the saucepan for induction, gas, electric, vitroceramic and halogen hobs. The non-stick interior suits sauces, porridge and reheated soup that tend to catch on the bottom of a pan, and Resto states the range is free of lead, PFOA and cadmium.

Yes. Resto lists induction, gas, electric, vitroceramic and halogen hobs for this saucepan, and the base is reinforced with an anti-deformation disk to help it stay flat.
Resto does not publish an oven rating for the Ascella saucepan, and its product page shows no oven-safe mark, unlike the Ascella casseroles. We suggest keeping it to the hob.
Resto marks it dishwasher safe, but its care guidance limits this to low temperatures (max. 50°C) and warns the aluminium base may discolour in a dishwasher. We recommend hand washing to keep the base and the exterior coating looking their best.
Resto's specifications for this range do not name suitable utensils. To look after any non-stick coating, we suggest wooden, silicone or nylon utensils rather than metal.
The saucepan is the only lidded Ascella piece with a single long handle, and at 1.4L it is the smallest. The Ascella casseroles hold 2.6L, 4.6L and 6.8L, and the shallow pot holds 4.2L.

Resto's EU Declaration of Conformity for the Ascella range lists the manufacturer's coating as a PTFE coating system. Resto states its die-cast collections are free of lead, PFOA and cadmium.
