Heavyweight cotton paper that holds a wash flat

The Rainbow Watercolour Pad A4 is a 300gsm 100% cotton, cold pressed sheet built for wet work.

Cotton fibre absorbs water evenly and slowly, so colour settles where it is laid rather than running along the fibre. At 300gsm the sheet carries a full wash without cockling, which is what separates a cotton pad from the cartridge and copy stock most classrooms reach for first. Each pad holds 25 sheets at A4, 210mm by 297mm, on a grey board backing that keeps the block flat in a satchel or a tray.

The acid free surface will not yellow as work is stored or displayed, so student folios and commissioned pieces keep their tone. Wet on wet, layering and lifting all behave predictably, and the paper takes watercolour pencil and diluted ink as readily as pan or tube paint.

FAQs

Cotton fibre swells and holds water rather than wicking it along the sheet, so washes stay where they are laid and edges stay clean. Wood pulp pads at the same weight tend to buckle sooner and lift unevenly. This is the difference students notice first when they move up from cartridge paper.
At 300gsm it holds a normal wash flat without stretching or taping. Very heavy flooding on a large area can still lift the sheet slightly, and taping the edge down is the usual fix if you work that wet.
Yes. The A3 300gsm pad is the same 100% cotton cold pressed stock in a larger sheet, also 25 sheets per pad. There is also a 200gsm version in both A4 and A3 for lighter work and higher sheet turnover.
Yes. The cold pressed surface takes watercolour pencil, diluted ink and gouache. It also handles dry pencil for underdrawing without the surface breaking up when it is later wetted.
Twenty pads per carton. Schools ordering for a whole cohort usually find a full carton works out simpler to receive and store than several part packs.

Returns, Refunds & Replacements

Mega Office Supplies accepts change-of-mind returns for unopened and unused products within 14 days from the invoice date, provided the item is returned in its original packaging and in resalable condition. Original shipping costs are not refundable, return shipping is the customer’s responsibility, and a restocking fee may apply depending on the product type and supplier. Some items, including electronics, assembled or installed furniture, food, beverages, medicines, custom-made products, and certain bulk or special-order items, are not eligible for return unless required under Australian Consumer Law.
