Empty MAX004: The Deeper 350 x 230 Shell

Panaro's MAX004V is the empty, black MAX004, giving 81 mm of clear internal height for chargers, cables, tools or a foam insert you cut yourself.

It shares the 350 x 230 mm footprint of the MAX003 but is deeper: 316 x 195 x 81 mm inside, split 16 mm in the lid and 65 mm in the base for 4.99 litres, and 350 x 230 x 86 mm outside. Panaro list it at 0.58 kg, and it has a fold-down carry handle.

This exact code, the MAX004V, holds a CMC IP67 test report under EN 60529. Panaro's datasheet credits it with self-acting pressure release, a gasket that seals the lid, thick walls and nesting for stacking, over -10 to 80 °C, and Panaro say the MAX line is built in Italy.

Bought empty, it works as a dry box for a field laptop charger and cables, a compact first aid kit, radio spares or tools in their own rolls, and Panaro offer custom foam inlays for fitted kits.

No, the MAX004V is supplied empty. The same shell comes with cubed foam as MAX004S, high density foam as MAX004HDS, or clear with compartments as MAX004T.
Same 350 x 230 mm footprint, but the MAX004 has 81 mm of internal height against 53 mm, and it adds a fold-down carry handle.
An independent laboratory, CMC, put the MAX004V through IP67 testing to EN 60529. The rating applies to the closed case with a clean seal.
Panaro list custom foam inlays as a service on request. The ready-made inserts for this shell are the S and HDS cubed foam versions.
